Meet the Founders: Keith Barker & Chris Wright

We’re Keith and Chris—professional bowlers who met early in our careers and have shared the game of cricket, and a close friendship, ever since.

Playing together for Warwickshire and winning the County Championship was a career highlight, but what’s remained just as meaningful is the bond we’ve built through years of shared experience—on and off the field.

The Bowlers’ Union Podcast was born from our ongoing conversations about cricket, life, and everything in between. As our relationship with the game evolves, so does our desire to talk about it in a more open, human way—looking beyond stats and form to explore identity, mindset, pressure, and personal growth.

But this is just the start.

We’re building something bigger than a podcast. The Bowlers’ Union is a space for connection, reflection, and support—for players and fans alike. A place where bowlers, and those who love the game, can come together in community. It’s about what happens beyond the pitch—the lessons, the friendships, the challenges, and the transition into life after cricket.

This is our way of giving something back to the game that’s shaped us—and creating something lasting for those who are walking the same path.
